What's Coming Next?

I am happy! Yay yay yay!

Although I don't earn thousands of dollars from my job; although I am not being looked up to as a senior or highly experienced, knowledgeable person who are respected and valued; although I don't have a car to drive, a mansion to live in, or a high-tech mobile phone to use; although I don't have all those luxurious things around, I have enjoyed living the current life, the life of being worry-free, carefree, simple and delightful.

I am living with my parents, so I really don't have to care if I have to pay the housing rent. Mum is always my best chef ever to cook me food I like and often chase me out of the kitchen when she is cooking. I have my 'genius' brothers who will come back with pride and knowledge from studying at overseas. I have my understandable parents who will allow me to go out with friends as long as I return home at a reasonable time. That's all the happiness I have embraced in my family. That's why family is always the first.

I have always been sponsored for my education since high school. Motivation came in when I first received my first sponsorship at Chinese school. Once you get the pride, you will never want to put it down. That's the reason you will keep striving for the best and win continuous pride and praises. I have been doing so. I am not that smart, but I have managed to get almost what I have wanted. I will keep going on for the best as long as I live. I feel blessed when I can study CAT for free, and I feel like being in heaven when I know that I will be sponsored to continue my ACCA qualification by my company! That's how I have been loved by God and people around.

I have groups of friends. Well, whether I am a warm-welcomed person among them is still a doubt to me. However, I love them all although I feel frustrated when sometimes they are inactive to my invitations or any requests. I like being some other groups of them who have been with me at different times --- being classmates, schoolmates, colleagues from one place to another and other acquaintances. They have somehow given me some unforgettable memories. By having them, my life has been painted with colors, either bright and cheerful or dark and grey. That's we call 'Cést la vie'!

Biologically, I thank my parents for giving me the normal gene of intelligence, at least it's as stupid as a cow. Superstitiously, I thank God for giving me opportunities and lucks to be able to walk through such a happy life so far. Well, I have spent 1/4 of my life by assuming that I have 100 years of age. The other 3/4 will be very challenging and hard to walk on. Along the path, new people will come in and old friends will leave. There is no such a meeting that never adjourns. Just hope that I will always be this lucky, successful and happy and enjoy my remaining life as it goes by.

Oops! It's time to go to bed or else I will be looking older than my age! Lol....Good night, readers!

Good News on Valentine's Day

I got good news this morning from my friend. Her mother has finally 'nodded'! She is going to get married! Wow, I was so excited for her and really congratulate her for her 'achievement' in persuading her Mum to say 'yes' for a relationship she has built with her beloved for 6 years. 6 YEARS! You might not believe it! A tree of love that has been seeded and been growing for such a long time when it was very dim to flower is now starting to have some blossoms and fruit.

I haven't known her for a long time, but we talked heart to heart. Her mother is a highly superstitious woman and will believe in whatever bads a fortune-teller might say and turn down whatever goods she is told. My friend has tried to persuade her for several times in the last few years, yet she did not allow. They are really a good match, I believe, yet according to the fortune-teller, the man being 6 years older than her will not end up with long-lasting happiness. That's too bad! The friend and her mother have seen many other fortune-tellers to hear different sayings, and it turned out that good sayings are fewer than the bad ones. With love and care, her mother is concerned how her daughter will suffer after the marriage, she was so 'stubborn' and never said YES.

Until before this Chinese New Year, my friend determined to fight for her happiness. She went to her mother again and plead for acceptance. After two weeks of silence (or fewer words) between mother and daughter, the mother finally agreed.

She is getting engaged at the end of this month and getting married in this coming June or July.

She has finally got to her goal. The relationship finally gives fruit. Wish her good luck and happiness with her Valentine. Their commitment and perseverance do impress me.

Dear friend, Happy Valentine's Day!

A Wall

I have been in this new post window for half an hour, writing and deleting sentences for several times, yet nothing has come out. One more day, January just says goodbye to everyone without mercy. I want at least to write a post for January.

What's happened in Jan? I haven't been happy in Jan. The worst feeling I suffered is being not able to talk to the person I wish to talk to. There is a very big wall between us and I just cannot find the way to break it or jump over it. I feel that there are so many walls ahead which I cannot jump over one after another again and again. I feel tired of this feeling, yet I cannot forgo it. I wanted to turn away to either my left, right or simply turn round, but I have warned myself not to do so because I was afraid that instead of finding my way out, I would fall into a valley or simply find another endless walls. The wall has been built higher and higher, stronger and stronger, wider and wider...Now there is a hole to see and talk with hard work, but soon the hole might even be blocked, I cannot jump over it, nor can I walk to the both ends to find a way to the other side.

Well, that's it. Just a short note for Jan.

Look back at 2012 and New Year Resolutions for 2013

There is one thing I have wanted to do very much on this day (31.12.2012), yet it’s coming to its end soon in another three hours. That’s the only thing I regret that I don’t and cannot do in 2012. Whether or not it’s possible to happen in the future, it’s not up to my decision alone. Truly, let’s fate and destiny decide.

Looking back at this nearly-ended year, there have been considerable changes and almost as many changes as I had in 2011. Resulted from Nov 2011, I had a very happy first quarter of 2012. It was a period of joy, sweetness and success. The second quarter was so-so; third quarter getting worse; and last quarter down in the valley and just starting to climb up again in Dec. If I draw a line graph of how much I liked about each month or how happy I was, my graph should have been like this:

I am glad that I have taken up swimming and inline skating although I am still a beginner. At least I tried sth new this year. Thanks for inspirations.

I went to Kep (Nataya Resort) in Jan; Koh Dach in Mar; Sihanouk Ville in Jul; Bokor Mountain in Aug; Buddha Center in Kandal in Sep; Prasith Mountain in Oct and again in Dec; Oudong Mountain in Dec. I have travelled much more than before, and I love those experiences so much.

I quit the job at the Embassy and now work for a private company with its headquarter based in Hong Kong. I am glad that I am here doing the things I have wished for and learning things I have never learned of. In the nearest future, I am not thinking of moving elsewhere again.

My elder brother is now in France to pursue his master degree. He left in Sep. Dad is now retired, so he is home with Mum. At least Mum still has Dad when the two sons are at overseas and the daughter rarely stays at home. I wish my Mum was easy-going and loved herself more. I wish I were better at cheering her up.

As of this term, I have totally completed seven papers of CAT assuming that I pass the one in this coming Jan’s final exam. The grades I received in 2012 were quite satisfying for FA2, MA2 and FFA except for FAB which I just took on last Saturday. It was as bad as expected.

Here comes the New Year Resolutions.

I will be committed to learn swimming better. If possible, I might do some inline skating alone without my brother.

Regarding the new job, I am really committed to it. I will put all my effort in it during working hours. Since I claim that my learning style is to ask and answer questions, I will try to ask as many questions as possible to myself or my immediate supervisor. At my free time, I will read materials relating to constructions, accounting standards, taxation and any news which tell me what’s going on around here. At the same time, since the last two papers of CAT program are the hardest ones which require more reading and analysis, I will also have to spare lots of time to devote to them. It’s really hard and boring to read and read, yet it’s one of the things I really have to do in order to be that someone whom everyone will look up to. Really, it’s not so easy to reach there, but what I can do is to do it and see if I can get there.

While spending so much time on reading for work and study, I guess I will have less time for my family again. Well, I will at least be with my Mum and Dad half-half day during holidays and weekends. Help do some household chores. Talking about this, my room is quite messy right now. :D

If you ask me where I want to go for travelling in the coming year, I will say that I want to go almost everywhere both in and outside the country. I really love travelling, either adventurous like trekking in the forest or on the mountains or luxurious like staying in boutique hotels and doing shopping overseas. At the time being, I do love travelling that does not cost much but fun, like going somewhere I can simply see the natural views of the mountains, rivers, trees, flowers, and the likes. Most importantly, I wish to find someone who appreciates the same thing and be there and always with me, physically or by soul.

I have spent one hour writing this post. Time is running down to two hours remaining. People are counting down everywhere. Every year I count down at home. Remember last year I was in front of FB and waiting for posting wishes when the clock stroke 0:00am. There is one thing more special than last year. I am counting down not only for the coming of year 2013, but I am counting down to celebrate the birthday of my dearest Mum! I gave her a surprising birthday cake after coming back from work. This is the first time I have celebrated her birthday. There will be more coming up next next year. I love to see her smile, and it is the biggest gift I received in this year end. I wish her good health, joy and happiness.

Dear readers, if you haven’t finished your last year resolutions, put them back on the list and add more. Yet, there are things that action is better than word. Do them now or you will regret next year end. Wish you all the best and happy New Year 2013.

What travel makes me feel...

Trip to Udong Mountain, the third trip I went by car or bus in year 2012! Actually this is a year in which I have traveled a lot more than ever both short and long distances by any means of transportation. I love year 2012 and it signifies a great start of my wish of traveling. Thanks to those who have brought me to places where all are my first times to be there. I feel that I am so minute and limited, just like a frog in a well and can see only the sky with the size of a circle. The world is actually incredibly so wide and border-less where I cannot explore all throughout my whole life.

I love the feeling of exhaustion after traveling, the hurt of muscles after long-distance walking, biking or trekking, the memories I can gather with people I travel with, the unexpected goods though along with the unwanted bads…

There is a wish that I have wished for, stopped myself from wishing for, but still somehow wish for no matter what. It’s there and still irreplaceable whenever I travel on the same roads and see the same views…
