Craftworks

Dear visitors,

I like making craftworks from used materials and any other materials that are deemed useless. I have made lots of craftworks, but I have never taken any pic of them. Starting from today, you will see my craftworks here on this page in this Bookworm0805.blogspot.com!

This page will comprise of my creations of craftwork, and this is just for fun not for sale.

Let's try to make sth out of used items! Recycle and Recreate--an idea to sustainable living!

Heartshape hanging items. (Front)

- It's made in 2011.
- Materials: remaining cloth from tailoring clothes, ribbon strings from wedding sovenirs, crystalised items and plastic pearls from secondhand clothes, hard paper from buying new shirts, and additional embroidering of letters on both side of the items.
- Tool: embrodering machine, scissors, pencil, stapler
- Use: For hanging in the bedroom where appropriate.
- Purpose: Originally made for Valentine's Day and given to two friends.



A craftwork made from snail shells.


- It's made in 2011.
- Materials: snail shells, plastic pearls, glue, lighter, a piece of wooden plate, and paint.
- Tools: lighter
- Time spent: 1 day (approx.). The paint needs one night to dry out.
- Use: For hanging on the wall.
- Purpose: for pleasure. It is still hanging on my wall.

A craftwork made from river shells (Leas in Cambodian language).
- It's made in 2011.
- Materials include river shells, plastic pearls, iron stick, a big seashell, plastic leaves, sterofoam, glue, and paint.
- Tools: lighter, pliers
- Time spent: 1 day (approx.)
- Use: For placing on the table.
- Specification: River shell (leas) are washed and stuck by glue to the iron sticks which were firmly tied to the big seashell. The shells are in natural color. A pearl is stuck to each combination of shells to make up a flower.
- Purpose: It's given to a friend for Christmas gift in 2011.

Origami Cambodia

- It's completed on 12 January 2012.
- Materials: Used A4 envelops (brown and white), blue color paper, noodle case, scothtape, and glue
- Tool: lighter, ruler, pencil, scissors
-Time spent: 1 month and a half
- Use: For hanging on the wall
- Specification: it is made up by folding more than one thousand of paper birds in four colors (brown, white, blue, and red) and then sticking them on the black and white printed map of Cambodia by glue.
- Purpose: For the recycling and recreating competition at Singapore Embassy

Flower arrangement
- It's completed December 2011.
- Materials: Envelop peels, used paper for flower bunch, the core of a thread roll, and some other used paper
- Tool: thread, glue, lighter,
-Time spent: 1 day
- Use: For putting on the table for decoration
- Purpose: originally for the recycling and recreating competition at Singapore Embassy, but then abandon
