Siem Reap Trip – 19-21 September 2014

Oh my! The trip was far more exciting and amazing than I had expected! In a group of four from my workplace, we drafted a schedule and planning to visit Siem Reap right before this Pchum Ben, and it came out with one of the most marvelous trip I have ever had.

Sunset at Bakheng Mount – Wow, that was a magnificent view!
First destination after checking in the hotel was to climb the Bakheng Mount to see the sunset. We arrived at the hotel at 4pm and set off by tuk tuk to the Mountain. Bakheng Mount is closed at 5:30pm, and we at the right time to climb up and enjoyed the surrounding scenery and waited for the sun to go ‘home’.

A new friend made on the first dinner in SR – Bong Kompheak (Mr. February)

We were given so much support from a friend of Lina – Bong Kompheak – who brought us to have delicious meals, drove us to great places, and told us the history of the temples.

Second day – Tuk tuk trip – Banteay Srey Temple and Bayon Temple

We took a tuk tuk to Banteay Srey, one of the temples with the most beautiful carvings of all. It is located far from the Siem Reap town and we spent the whole morning travelling to and exploring at the temple. Believe it or not, our tuk tuk had a sound system to play music! Cool right?

We had lunch in front of Angkor Touch and went on to visit Bayon Temple in the afternoon. It was my second time to Bayon, but the feeling was still excited and the view was still astonishing.

After the temple trip, we went to the Cultural Village. I loved the show about the lady in the Kroeung Village most. Totally hilarious!

Third day – Sunrise at Angkor Wat

Wow wow wow! We were at the right time to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat! According to B. Kompheak, there are two days a year when the sun rises right on the tip of the Angkor Wat. We were lucky enough to see the greatest view of the year! And luckily it did not rain at all during our visit.

Far from the city – Koh Kei Temple and Boeung Mealea Temple

Another two impressive temples I have ever seen! Approximately two-hour drive from the Angkor Touch, Bong Kompheak drove us to visit Koh Kei Temple and we had lunch there. There were not many visitors on that day. After lunch we headed to Boeung Mealea Temple which is now not in a good shape due to war and natural condition. Still an interesting place to visit!

Boat trip – Water Community – Kompong Phlok

We rented a small boat for five people to go along the Tonle Sap River at Kompong Phlok port to go to the Kompong Phlok water community. It is my first time to see people living on water. I was surprised to see the police station, school, restaurant, pagoda, and people’s houses built on the water and boats are the only transportation means to commute. The sunset view along the Tonle Sap River was also stunning and beautiful. All of a sudden, I had a romantic feeling! Hehe

Fourth day – Angkor Wat and Ta Prom Temple – Final destination of the trip
Strange right? We set Angkor Touch and Ta Prom Temple the last destination for our visit. They are the must-see temples, but they almost skipped them due to time constraint. Luckily enough and thanks to B. Kompheak, we made it using a morning before checking out the hotel at 12pm.

The trip was well planned and it was well implemented, of course only with support from our host guide, Mr. Kompheak. I had a very good time with B. Thyna, Lina and Sngoun and took lots of great pictures. At the same time I also learned about some histories of the temples told by B. Kompheak.

Life is short. Time to travel and explore is limited in our life. I appreciate every chance to see great things and explore new places. This trip is so marvelous and memorable, and it is the first time I have been on a personal trip with colleagues. I wish that I will have more chances to go on similar and more adventurous trips in the future before being tied by some bonds.

Cheers and Farewell.....!

Horoscope

Horoscope! My favorite horoscope page was available again this morning. This horoscope writer has always been writing things that I can relate to my current situation. It helps me to foresee what might happen in the week ahead and suggests what I should do, which is quite encouraging.

I have got not so good weeks recently, and it was all about A (A is the problem). This column about my week ahead just says the right thing at the right time. I was surprised that it really tells me to avoid the distractions I am having as they are 'equally irrelevant' to my long-term dreams. If so, I bet I made a correct decision last night about ending all the illusions and hectic problems and started focusing on something else that is more useful and responsive to my future needs.

I hope I will not fall prey to those distractions and manage to get out of the dump. It is time to get back to the right status quo and be committed on the right things for this golden age.

Talking about making decisions about relationships.....

What defines a good and right decision in a partner? How to make a decision that you never feel regret of having made it? Some of us have followed our heart rather than our head to make decisions, and hence it ends up with regrets because our heart does cheat us sometimes.

Things starts quite right, and we feel that it is gonna be right till the end. Whether we are to blame our luck that we have come to the wrong path or it was our haste to come at a decision that it was not supposed to be made so quickly by following our heart when it was too weak to identify and determine what we really need. There are times when we feel that we don't know each other enough. We might not share the same things, and we just might not be compatible with each other due to differences in values, interests and hobbies.

We are in doubt, and there will a point when we will have to decide again not whether we should be together but whether we should continue with this or let go of each other.

FIA completed!

CAT/FIA papers are all completed in June 2013 exam session. Though there were problems in seeing my result on the due date (August 8), I finally received my results of FAU and FFM on August 15. I passed all of the papers now, and what I need to do is to prepare myself to write the FPER and IFP to obtain the membership.

Look forward to receiving the Certificate of Completion from CamEd!

New Page

Somewhere in February, the writer found insufficient supporting ideas to write on the stories for the old page. She has got an new blurred idea in the previous year, and gradually the idea turns out bigger and appear distinctly when the writer decided to drop the old page and started with a new piece with the new ideas she has been enticed to write.

She has found her joy in collecting the new ideas in writing new stories and liked it much to have such a change of the flow of ideas. However, sometimes when she was about to be fully committed to finish the new piece, some of the old ideas suddenly emerged and made she hesitate if she was really sure of her decision to drop the old piece which she once valued as her great masterpiece.

She appreciated the experiences she had been through while writing the old page; there were bunches of goods and bads which had changed her thought and way of writing any future pieces. She loved it and was very thankful.

Today she finally went back to read the old stories but then decided to lock them up. She needs to fully concentrate on the new one and wish that it would not turn out to be rubbish.

Where to find a man...?

Where to find a man who pays attention to every detail about you?

Where to find a man who remembers every important date related to you?

Where to find a man who never let you be the last one to leave a msg in a chat?

Where to find a man who is willing to share with you whatever feelings he has?

Where to find a man who swears not to leave you in any situation?

Where to find a man who respects what you decide?

Where to find a man who doesn’t force you to do what you don’t like?

Where to find a man who is a good listener?

Where to find a man who cooks for you and helps with the housework?

Where to find a man who loves you 100% and disclose your relationship without fear?
